Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first role. After a very difficult struggle, she landed a role as "Starship Troopers" starring in Starship Troopers. It was a hard time for her to make the transition from modeling to acting since models were not considered to be good actors and were mostly granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy had a determination to be successful and she eventually landed larger roles beginning at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on more prominent roles. It was a huge commercial success, and Amy has finally achieved the success she'd been trying for for more than 10 years. She then worked on some of the biggest film productions, such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played a recognizable character.
