Ann Lois Romney (born in 1939) is an American author. She is the spouse of the politician and businessman Senator Mitt Romney from Utah. The Romney family moved to America from Dalton-in-Furness in England, about 1840. Mitt's father was a former Massachusetts governor as well as a Romney was a 2012 Republican presidential candidate, and Utah Senator. Mitt is the grandfather of Ronna McDaniel who serves as chairman of the Republican National Committee. Mitt Romney is the third U.S. candidate for president who is a member of the Mormon church with an opportunity of winning the nomination of a major political organization.
